Dr. Lichlyter opened Brentwood Family Pet Care in 2000, with the goals of supporting a high quality of life for family pets in the area and helping develop the relationship between pets and their families.

Rochelle Walker has been part of the Brentwood Family Pet Care team since 2006. She moved to California in 2005 to spend more time with her niece and nephew. In 2008, she met her future husband. "I really enjoy working with the team here and the pets are a wonderful plus," she says. "I don’t actually take care of the pets that come in, but I take care of the people that take care of them. I work behind the scenes, making sure the lights stay on and the bills get paid. It’s a great perk to be able to step into the treatment room and play with a kitten or puppy that has come in."
Laurie has been at Brentwood Family Pet Care since 2004.
She is married with two amazing sons. As a family, they enjoy traveling, pheasant hunting, and attending classic car events. In Laurie’s spare time, she enjoys gardening, lounging by the pool, and cooking for family and friends. She has two yellow labs, Buddy and Bogie.
Jannel has worked at Brentwood Family Pet Care since 2009.
Jannel’s dog is a red merle Catahoula leopard named Buster. She is a student at LMC with plans to transfer to a four-year school with a major in pre-dental. She then plans to go to dental school.
Jayme started with the team in 2013. She loves being and working with animals and always dreamed of working in the veterinary field. At home she owns all kinds of animals and calls her farm her zoo. She received a BS in Biological Sciences with an option of Biology in 2015. She was really excited because it was a big accomplishment. Jayme and her boyfriend enjoy going to truck shows and working on his Peterbuilt. Jayme and Mattie, her Queensland Heeler love to play catch and go for a run.
I grew up with a strong love of all animals and always knew I would end up working with them in some way or another. What better way than to become a veterinary technician and help make animals feel better? I got my first job in a clinic as an assistant at age 21 and have been a technician ever since. I started with BFPC in 2013 and couldn't be happier.
I have 2 mini horses, a cat, a snake, and my girl Bently pictured here with me and her mother Harley, who we recently had to say good bye to, way too soon. They have been the most amazing and loyal companions. They have me hooked and I wouldn't have it any other way!
Alora started with us in early 2014. She has been a Registered Veterinary Techincian (RVT) since 2000 and brings over 7 years of experience in emergency and critical care to our team. Alora and her husband recently purchased 9 acres in outer Brentwood and have added goats, chickens and ducks to their already full house of a cat, two dogs (Sasha, a terrier mix and Ranger a chihuahua/terrier mix) and three young boys. She is looking forward to her future at BFPC and her dream ranch.
After graduating high school I joined the military and became a United States Marine. I was stationed in San Diego, CA for 3 years. There I met my husband and we got two labrador retrievers named Jax and Harlow. After he and I were both discharged we moved here to the bay area. We love being outdoors with our dogs and we take them camping and hiking as much as we can! I have been a member of the BFPC family since January of 2016 and everyday day at work is always a new adventure! Loving and caring for all the patients that visit us here is the best part of everyday.
Kylie has been with BFPC since the summer of 2014. She enjoys spending time at work with our amazing clients and staff. In her free time she loves to be outdoors taking her 2 dogs: Cal - a Border Collie and Jax - a Westhighland Terrier, on hikes and to the beach. Her favorite hobby is shooting guns at the gun range.
I have been with BFPC since 2014 and have been working as a veterinary technician since 2008 and I love it!! It has always been my goal to help and care for animals with kindness and compassion. My life has been filled with loving, caring, raising and rescuing all types of animals. I currently live with seven cats who reward me with unconditional love every day.
I started with BFPC in 2014 and I love getting to see all the pets, new and old, that come in every day! I live on a farm and have my own cattle business. I'm also finishing up at Modesto Junior College getting my Animal Science and Animal Business degrees (specializing in Vet medicine). When I'm not working, I love going on runs with Krissi, my Queensland Heeler.
I started working here at BFPC in 2016. The little man in the picture with me is Kurtis, he is my Cardigan Welsh Corgi. Kurtis is a dream dog of mine. I grew up rodeoing and riding horses where cattle dogs and corgis were very popular. I just love the uniqueness and personality of them. I am a farm girl and I was raised with animals. My free time mostly consists of being with them. To this day I have 4 dogs, 4 cats, 3 pot belly pigs, 2 horses and 2 goats. As a kid I did 4H so I raised livestock and showed them at the county fair. I did that for about 10 years. I guess working in veterinary medicine was the next natural step for someone who loves animals like I do.
Animals have always been a huge part of my life. As a kid, I would play hairstylist with my dog, go on the hunt to find kittens from our feral momma cat that lived outside and I loved catching butterflies, bugs and frogs. Later on, my first real job was a dog groomer. I've had some education as a veterinary technician and experience working at animal shelters. I curently have a home full of pets which includes dogs (this is Cecil my long haired chihuahua mix), cats, birds and a bunny. Since 2016 I have come to BFPC every day excited to meet new pets and help them life healthier happier lives.
I have been working at Brentwood Family Pet Care since summer 2016. It was always a dream of mine to work at a vet so when i got the opportunity, I was thrilled! I have grown up with multiple rescue dogs and currently have 3: Lexie, in the picture with me, who is a Chihuahua/miniature Pinscher, Jethro, a black Lab and Abbey a chocolate Lab. When I'm not at work I enjoy camping and getting out on the lake. Nothing can beat a day out on the boat with my fur babies, friends and family.
I grew up around large and small animals as well as some exotics. My first job was when I was three where I carried small bags of dog food into pet sores with my grandfather's trucking company. From then on I've always worked in the pet industry. I've been a technician assistant off and on for about 25 years for large and small animals. I joined BFPC in early 2017 and just love it here. In my spare time I love being with my husband and family. We enjoy taking our Mastiff, Ruger, here in the photo with me, to the river and dog shows. We are proud to say he became a Champion Mastiff in 2016!!.
I've been working at BFPC since May 2016. As an avid animal-lover, I often joke that my job is more of a serious hobby than anything else. Outside of work I occupy my free time by volunteering for organizations like Guide Dogs for the Blind and Dogs for Diabetics (D4D). Jalina, the beautiful black Labrador pictured with me is a service dog given to me by D4D in 2013. She has been trained to help me manage my Type 1 Diabetes. Jalina is my partner in crime and has adapted to high school better than most students I know. In the fall of 2017, Jalina and I will be attending college in Nevada to pursue a degree in Political Science.

A month about love, hugs, kisses and chocolate. And when it comes to your pet, 3 out of 4 of those come out way on top! (Chocolate is a no-no, but you already knew that!) Keeping your pet healthy from toe to tooth shows the world how much you love them. What is the best way to keep your pet in tiptop shape? Schedule your pet's yearly checkup with us. We'll do a thorough checkup, including a dental exam, to make sure your pet is at optimum health. We're committed to your pet's well being every step of the way. (Because we love them too!)
